  • 60 US dollars
  • Forbes Place

Service Description

Date: November 6th, 2021 - Time: 10AM - 2PM - Location: Virtual 3 CEU credits. $60 plus an additional charge for the cost of the CEU certificate. In this course, we will discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on people in healthcare who have been working and how their mental health has changed. Due to the high levels of trauma, anxiety, and depression symptoms reported, we will learn the DSM-V definition of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. You will learn about several mental health screening tools and how to use them in more detail as well as when you should use one over another one. You will be provided with blank versions of the screening tools that we go over and will understand how to score them and interpret the scores as well. Once we have gone over the different screening tools we will talk about holistic and non-holistic options for symptom management and emotional wellness. We will do several exercises in the course as well so you know what it is like and what you can do with this client population. This course has been approved by the NASW-Virginia for 3 CEU hours.
